Simon Chauchard

Dr Simon Chauchard is an Distinguished Researcher (Investigador Distinguido) at the University Carlos III (Madrid), a member of the Institute Carlos III Juan March (IC3JM). He previously held positions at Dartmouth College, Columbia University (SIPA) and Leiden University.

Much of his current research focuses on the causes and consequences of social media misinformation in developing countries. He is the Principal Investigator on the POLARCHATS ERC consolidator grant project (2022-2027), a co-PI on a Mercury Project Grant and a co-PI on several Facebook-funded grants since 2019.
